Founded in 1962 by the visionary Jim Edwards, Edwards Auction & Realty began as a small, family-run auction house built on hard work, honesty, and community values. With a sharp eye for quality and a deep understanding of the auction world, Jim laid the foundation for a business that would earn the trust of buyers and sellers across West Virginia.

His son, Duke Edwards, born in 1964, grew up alongside his father — learning the trade from the ground up. From an early age, Duke developed a love for the business, sharing his father’s passion for helping people and running fair, effective auctions.

In 2003, Duke officially took the reins of the family business. Today, he leads Edwards Auction & Realty alongside his wife, Mary Anne, and their two sons, Jesse and Ryan — continuing the legacy as a true family operation. With over 40 years of hands-on experience, Duke brings a deep understanding of both buyers and sellers, and remains committed to delivering honest, results-driven service with a personal touch.
